Miss Shreya Haldar is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon specialising in glaucoma and complex cataract surgery, with 17 years of experience in ophthalmology. She consults and operates at The London Clinic Eye Centre on Harley Street, The Clinic Holland Park, Circle Reading Hospital, the Prince Charles Eye Unit at King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor, and the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Miss Haldar is Clinical Lead for Ophthalmology and Glaucoma Lead at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, overseeing a busy glaucoma service for West Berkshire. Her private patients benefit from the same precision and evidence-based care, delivered with warmth, patience, and clear explanations at every step.

She trained at Imperial College London, graduating MBBS in 2009 with an intercalated BSc and the Associateship of the Imperial College School of Medicine. She completed higher medical exams and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2012, before specialising in ophthalmology on the Oxford Deanery rotation under pioneers of modern cataract surgery. Miss Haldar completed a subspecialist fellowship in glaucoma and gained her FRCOphth in 2017.

Her surgical expertise spans traditional and modern glaucoma procedures, including trabeculectomy, aqueous shunt (tube) surgery, selective laser trabeculoplasty, YAG laser peripheral iridotomy, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery with the latest devices such as iStent infinite. For cataracts, she offers premium monofocal, multifocal, and toric intraocular lens options, tailored to each patient’s lifestyle and visual goals.

Miss Haldar is the Oxford regional representative on the council of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. She is deeply committed to teaching, serves as both an educational and clinical supervisor, and lectures regularly to Surgical Sciences MSc and BSc students at King’s College London.

Her patients consistently describe her as thorough, calm, and never rushed, reflected in her 4.98 out of 5 rating across her Doctify reviews. She speaks English and Bengali, and is recognised by Bupa, AXA, Aviva, Cigna, WPA, and Vitality.

Away from the clinic, Miss Haldar is married to an Associate Professor in Urology, is a proud mother of two, and enjoys swimming, sewing, and baking.
